Items in the Schedule Properties dialog box
In the
New Schedule Wizard: Step 1 Schedule Properties
dialog box, you need to configure the following schedule properties.Location
The asset for which the schedule was originally created. This could be a container or an individual asset in the asset tree.
Operation
Select the operation you want to schedule:
- Device Monitor - Change DetectThis operation is only available for Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 Controller assets that support and are configured for change detection. A Device Monitor - Change Detect schedule gets a list of changes from the controller log. This is less detailed than change information from the programming software, but it includes some information that the programming software cannot track, such as changes from program to run mode using the keyswitch. When the Device Monitor schedule is active, the device is monitored. When a change is detected, controller log entries are collected into a report. The next page of this wizard determines how long the changes are collected. For more information on change detection in the controller refer to the Logix Designer software help and to theLogix 5000 Controllers Information and Status Programming Manual, publication 1756-PM015D-EN-E.
- Disaster Recovery - BackupThis operation uploads the files from an asset for backup in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Archive. You will specify the location of the master file later in the wizard.
- Disaster Recovery - Backup and CompareThis operation uploads the files from an asset and compares them to the master file stored in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Archive. To store the asset's uploaded file as a new version of its master file in Archive (if the contents differ from the file in Archive), you must select thePromote New Upload to Masteroption for the device.
Name
Enter a name for the schedule. This name must be unique.
TIP:
FactoryTalk AssetCentre shows all schedules created in your system. Therefore, it is a good idea to name schedules in a manner that makes filtering them easy. For example, if you include
chiller
or mixer
in a schedule name, you can easily filter the schedules to view only those schedules that contain chiller
or mixer
in their names.Description
(Optional) Enter a description for the schedule.

Enter a list of email addresses to which you want notifications sent when the scheduled operation completes. If you have more than one email address you want to include, separate the addresses with semicolons (;).
