About the configuration for security-enabled RSLogix products
If you are using the Disaster Recovery capability for Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC 500, MicroLogix, or Logix 5000 controllers, and security is enabled in the RSLogix programming software (RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, or RSLogix 5000), you need to configure for those products so that scheduled Disaster Recovery operations on Rockwell Automation controllers can complete successfully. The configurations are different depending on if you use a domain or workgroups. Security is enabled for RSLogix 5000 v. 20 and higher.
More information about schedules and RSLogix software
Scheduled events for Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 and PLC-5 controllers would fail if FactoryTalk Security was enabled for earlier versions of RSLogix 5000 and RSLogix 5. The problem is fixed in RSLogix 5000 versions higher than 16 and for RSLogix 5 version 7.30.10.3 and higher. This problem does not occur with RSLogix 500 version 8.00.05.01 or higher.
This issue does not affect other devices’ schedules (such as robots or Allen-Bradley PanelView devices). If a schedule contains affected controllers and other devices, the scheduled event will only fail for those affected controllers for which FactoryTalk Security is enabled in the programming software; the event will complete for the other devices.
