Comparison Overview dialog box

This dialog box shows an overview of the results showing which Siemens S5 or S7 Controller (STEP7) files had differences.

To show detailed results:

Compare partner 1

This is the item chosen as the first compare partner in the

Select Compare Partners

dialog box.

This program is compared to the second program. Differences reported show whether something was changed, added, or deleted in this program relative to the second one. For example, if the report says an item was inserted, that means that the item was found in this program but not the second.

Compare partner 2

This is the item chosen as the second compare partner in the

Select Compare Partners

dialog box. Differences reported show whether something was changed, added, or deleted in the first program relative to this one. So if the report says an item was deleted, that means that the item was found in this program but not in the first one.

Object

The

column lists the contents of the folders or programs chosen as the compare partners.

Difference Type

Describes the type of difference found in the object.
