Select Compare Partners dialog box

Use this dialog box to select the program files to compare for each S7 project. You can compare all program files or only one program file from each project.

Compare specific objects

Clear this check box to compare all program files in a project. The software attempts to match program files in the two compare partner lists. If one list contains more program files than the other, the comparison shows the extras as being either added or deleted depending on whether the extra programs are in the first or second list respectively.

Select this check box if you want to pick just one program file to compare from each list.

Compare partner 1

Select the first program to compare. This program is compared to the second program. Differences reported show whether something was changed, added, or deleted in this program relative to the second one. So if the report says an item was inserted, that means that the item was found in this program but not the second.

Compare partner 2

Select the second program to compare. Differences reported show whether something was changed, added, or deleted in the first program relative to this one. So if the report says an item was inserted, that means that the item was found in the first program but not this one.
