Meanings of the Audit Log column headings

Audit records are generated by FactoryTalk-enabled products. New log records appear bold. Once you select a log record to show its details in the
Log Item Details
pane at the bottom of the tab, the log entry no long appears bold.
The column headings of the Audit Log include:
  • Paper clip icon

    Whether a file is associated with the audit record. A file attached to the Audit Log can include additional information about the audit entry. A paper clip indicates that a file is available. If a file is available for a selected record, a paper clip button also appears in the
    Log Item Details
    pane at the bottom of the log. You can show file attachments and troubleshooting information.
  • Logged Time
    The date and time when the FactoryTalk AssetCentre database received report of this action from the software product.
    The Logged Time and Occurred Time may be different if you disconnect from the network while FactoryTalk AssetCentre caches data, or if the time on the server is different than the time on your computer.
  • Occurred Time
    The date and time at which the software product records the action as having occurred.
    The Logged Time and Occurred Time may be different if you disconnect from the network while FactoryTalk AssetCentre caches data, or if the time on the server is different than the time on your computer.
  • Source
    The name of the software product that logged the action in the Audit Log.
  • Location
    The name of the computer on which the action took place.
  • Resource
    The name of the hardware or software object to which the action happened. For example, the name of the processor that went online, or the name of the file that was saved.
  • Username
    The login ID of the user who is using the software product. This can be a FactoryTalk Security user or a Microsoft Windows user, depending on how the user logged into the software product that generated the audit record.
  • Message
    Detailed information about the audit such as the type of action (for example, opening a file), what changes were made, hardware involved and so forth. A summary of the message appears in the list. The full message appears in the
    Log Item Details
    pane at the bottom of the tab.
