Add Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3) dialog box
- To enter Design mode if you are not already in it, click
. - In the Asset Catalog, expand theController Itemsnode.
- Drag a Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3) asset onto the tree in the Asset View.
Use the
Add Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3)
dialog box to add a Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3) to the asset tree. You can add a Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3) in the root or in a container.The device is added to the asset tree as soon as this dialog box opens. Clicking
Cancel
in this dialog box abandons any changes made to the device properties, but leaves the device in the tree.
IMPORTANT:
- Make sure you have installed the Mitsubishi Controller (GX Works3) on the FactoryTalk AssetCentre agent computer.
- Make sure you have installed the Mitsubishi Open I/F APIs on the FactoryTalk AssetCentre agent computer. If you do not know how to find the Mitsubishi Open I/F APIs, please contact Mitsubishi for support.
- Make sure that the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Agent Controller is running as an application. For more information, see FactoryTalk AssetCentre Agent Controller Launch Control Panel.
- Make sure to select a standard Windows domain user account if you are in a Windows domain environment and the FactoryTalk AssetCentre AgentController runs as an application. This allows Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to authenticate between the FactoryTalk AssetCentre agent to connect to the FactoryTalk AssetCentre server. If the AgentController is configured to use a local Windows user account, then WCF won’t work correctly and the FactoryTalk AssetCentre agent won’t be able to connect to the server.
- Make sure you have disabled the FIPS.
