How do I open the Backup Configuration dialog box?
- In theAdd FactoryTalk View Site Editiondialog box when first adding the asset to the asset tree or in theFactoryTalk View Site Edition Propertiesdialog box when configuring the asset's properties, click in theBackup Configurationbox and then click
.
Use the
Backup Configuration
dialog box to configure the backup settings for FactoryTalk View Site Edition. You can run a disaster recovery task for the FactoryTalk View Site Edition that is in a local or remote FactoryTalk Directory. A remote FactoryTalk Directory is on a separate FactoryTalk Directory system from the FactoryTalk Directory associated with your FactoryTalk AssetCentre system. When performing a disaster recovery task for a remote FactoryTalk Directory that hosts the FactoryTalk View Site Edition, you must configure some remote policies first. To enable remote FactoryTalk Directory operations, a user credential must be provided. Incorrect username or password entries will trigger automatic logging of failed sign in attempts and generate lots of error messages in your FactoryTalk AssetCentre system. This is intentionally designed for detailed audit tracking. To avoid frequent error notifications, ensure that your FactoryTalk Directory signs in credentials in the remote server settings are correctly configured.
