What's in the Asset Inventory window?

The
Asset Inventory
 window includes the following parts:
  • Asset Inventory toolbar
  • Asset Inventory scanning information
  • Devices and Software tabs
Asset Inventory toolbar
  • Asset Inventory search
    Search the Asset Inventory scanning result.
  • Asset Inventory columns
    Customize the columns to show in the
    Asset Inventory
     window.
  • Asset Inventory undo
    (Only available when additional information or commission date is changed in editable mode.)
    Undo changes made to additional information or commission date.
  • Asset Inventory check in
    (Only available when additional information or commission date is changed in editable mode.)
    Check in changes made to additional information or commission date.
  • Asset Inventory export
    Export the Asset Inventory scanning result.
  • Product Registration
    Export the product information to a CSV file to register your products on the Rockwell Automation Product Registration website.
  • Asset Inventory add
    (Only available after you click the
    SYNC
    button.)
    Add new assets to the asset tree.
  • Asset Inventory update
    (Only available after you click the
    SYNC
    button.)
    Update assets in the asset tree with different asset properties.
Asset Inventory scanning information
  • Start Time
    Show the date and time the Asset Inventory scanning operation starts.
  • End Time
    Show the date and time the Asset Inventory scanning operation ends.
  • Result
    Show the result of the Asset Inventory scanning operation.
Devices and Software tabs
  • Devices
    tab
    Show all devices scanned by CIP and SNMP in hierarchy tabular style.
    • Add
      option
      Select this option if you want to add new assets to the asset tree.
    • Update
      option
      Select this option if you want to update assets in the asset tree with different asset properties.
    • SYNC
      button
      When the
      Add
      or
      Update
      option is selected, click this button to show the available devices that can be added or updated.
    • Expand All
      button
      Expand all asset items
    • Collapse All
       button
      Collapse all asset items
  • Software
    tab
    Show all software scanned by WMI in hierarchy tabular style.
