Settings
The following table shows the settings in the
FTAC Event Log Attachment Extractor
window and their meanings.Setting | Description |

In the Windows Settings area | |
Output location | Specify a local or network path where the event log attachments and the operation
report file are saved. |
Integrated security | Select this checkbox to use credentials of the currently logged-on user. Clear this checkbox to specify credentials of a user, who is allowed to write to
the output location. Clearing this checkbox turns on the User name and
Password boxes.This checkbox is selected by default. |
Username | Enter the sign ID of a user who is allowed to write to the output location. This box is turned on when the Integrated security checkbox is cleared.
You must use Windows Credential Manager to add user credentials for the initial
setup. |
Password | Enter the password of a username that is allowed to write to the output
location. This box is turned on when the Integrated security checkbox is cleared.
You must use Windows Credential Manager to add user credentials for the initial
setup. |
Test connection | Click to verify whether the username and password are authenticated to write to
the output location. This button is turned on when the Integrated security checkbox is
cleared. |
In the SQL Server Settings area | |
SQL Server name | Enter the name or IP address of the computer running the SQL Server that hosts the FactoryTalk AssetCentre
database. |
Database name | Enter the FactoryTalk AssetCentre database name in the SQL Server . The default database name is AssetCentre . |
Authentication | Select one of the authentication modes:
The default authentication is Use Windows Authentication . |
User name | Enter the username for the database server administrator. This box is turned on when Use SQL Server Authentication is selected. You
must use Windows Credential Manager to add user credentials for the initial
setup. |
Password | Enter the password for the database server administrator. This box is turned on when Use SQL Server Authentication is selected. You
must use Windows Credential Manager to add user credentials for the initial
setup. |
Connection timeout | Enter an integer from 0 through 600 as a maximum time duration in seconds for
which a test connection operation is completed. The default value is 15 seconds. |
Test connection | Test the connection to the SQL Server. |
In the bottom area | |
Help | Open the Help. |
Start | Start the extraction of event log attachment. |
Cancel | Cancel the extraction of event log attachment. |
Close | Exit the Event Log Attachment Extractor. |
