Manage user roles
You can manage user roles for an organization only if you are an administrator. The
role assigned to you in
FactoryTalk®
Hub™
determines whether you can be a
FactoryTalk Design Studio
administrator. To be recognized as an administrator within
your FactoryTalk Hub organization, you must have the Admin role assigned at either the
organization level or FactoryTalk Design Studio
service level. You cannot assign or
unassign the Admin role from User Management
outside of FactoryTalk Hub

, see .Entitlements.- To view the assigned role for every user inFactoryTalk Design Studio, on the Welcome page, selectOpen User Management.TIP: You can also select
Helpand then selectUser Management.User Managementdisplays the name, email, and selected roles for each user inFactoryTalk Design Studio. - InUser Management, you can change and add assigned roles for a user by selecting the desired roles.
- To manage the roles assigned to users, in the upper-right corner ofUser Management, selectRole Management.
- UseRole Managementto:TIP: Users are granted all permissions associated with their assigned roles. Users can have multiple roles assigned to them in an organization.
