Role permissions
Permissions allow a user to perform certain tasks. The permissions displayed
depend on the role selected. Permissions for predefined roles are read-only. Predefined
roles include:
- Admin
- Engineer
- Guest
- Safety Engineer
You can assign permissions for a role when creating or updating a custom role. The user
of an assigned role has the permissions to perform the indicated tasks. Roles for a
feature appear grouped by category:

Project | Save As | Duplicate a project and save it with a unique name. |
Deploy | Deploy a controller application to a controller device. | |
Go Online | Go online with a controller. | |
Push | Push changes to the project to a remote repository. | |
Cross Org Copy | Copy a project to a different organization. | |
Safety | Edit | Edit safety content in the project such as configuring a controller
or device for safety content. |
Lock | Lock a safety controller to protect the safety signature and prevent
the deployment of safety changes. | |
Unlock | Unlock a safety controller to remove protection from the safety
signature and allow the deployment of safety changes. | |
Generate Signature | Generate a safety signature to run a controller with safety
integrity. | |
Delete Signature | Delete a safety signature to run a controller without safety
integrity. | |
User-Defined Library | Share | Share user-defined libraries within the organization and delete
libraries that the user has shared. |
