Change the host name for an OPC data server

If you move a data server from one computer to another, you must change the name of the computer specified in the OPC Data Server Properties dialog box.
When running a FactoryTalk View Site Edition application within a Windows workgroup, all Windows users should have Windows Administrative rights assigned to them.
TIP:
To move the files for RSLinx Classic data servers, use the RSLinx Backup and Restore utility. See the RSLinx Help for details.
If an application is using
FactoryTalk Linx
data servers, their setup information is included in the FactoryTalk Directory server configuration files, and is moved when you move the FactoryTalk Directory.
