Restore an HMI server to a new computer

Use the HMI Server Backup and Restore utility to restore an HMI server to a new computer using the backup files created with this utility.
Before you begin:
  • Ensure that the *.sed file for the HMI server project you want to restore is located in a folder with the same name. For example, to restore a backup file called
    Packaging.sed
, the path to the file must end with ...\Packaging\Packaging.sed. Also ensure that there is only one *.sed file in that folder.
  • Create a folder that matches the name of the *.sed file you want to restore in the HMI projects folder. By default, the location of this folder is C:\Users\Public\Documents\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI projects.
For example, the files belonging to an HMI server named Packaging would be stored in: ...\RSView Enterprise\SE\HMI projects\Packaging.
To restore an HMI server to a new computer:
  1. In the HMI Server Backup and Restore utility, click
