Back up an HMI server

Use the HMI Server Backup and Restore utility to back up an HMI server while it is running. To back up an HMI server that is not running, you can use Windows Explorer to copy the files instead of using this utility.
TIP:
To back up an HMI server located on a remote computer, use command line parameters with the HMI Server Backup and Restore utility instead of the graphical user interface.
To back up an HMI server running on this computer:
  1. In the
    Select Operation
    dialog box, click
    Backup HMI Server
    .
  2. To save the backup on the
    local
    computer, in the
    Destination backup path
    box, type or browse for a path to a folder on your computer's local hard disk.
  3. To save the backup on a
    network
    computer, in the
    Destination backup path
    box, type or browse for the path to the mapped drive. For details about mapping a network drive, see Windows Help.
