Network view

Use the
Network
view to view network information. The information shown depends on whether the device profile is online to a Device Level Ring (DLR) capable device or a Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) capable device.
If the device profile is online to a DLR capable device, use these settings to:
  • View whether the network is operating in Linear/Star or Ring network.
  • View the current status of the network.
  • Enable the device to be a supervisor on the network.
  • View the address of the active ring supervisor and the active supervisor precedence.
  • View information about the ring faults such as the number of ring faults and the status of the ring faults.
  • Reset the ring fault count to zero.
If the device profile is online to a PRP capable device, use these settings to:
  • Monitor the health status of each LAN on the PRP network and its attached devices.
  • Reset the diagnostic counter.
This information is only available when online, and there is no communication error in the device profile.
TIP:
For controller devices that have one or more configurable Ethernet port pairs, for example
CompactLogix
5380,
Network
is blank except for
Refresh
when the EtherNet/IP Mode setting does not support DLR.
