2080-MOT-HSC plug-in module

The 2080-MOT-HSC specialty plug-in module supports the following three modes:
  • High-speed counter instructions for typical counting applications
  • Feedback axis for use with motion instructions
  • High-speed counter user-defined function blocks (UDFB) for special applications
The 2080-MOT-HSC plug-in module can be added to controllers that are of L20E, L50E, and L70E controller types. L20E controllers does not support motion instructions and feedback axis.
Consider the following requirements when configuring the plug-in module:
  • When the plug-in module is configured for the feedback axis mode, the motion instructions must be used with the plug-in module.
  • When the plug-in module is configured for the high-speed counter UDFB mode, the UDFBs must be used with the plug-in module.
After adding the plug-in module:
  • In
    Project Organizer
    , under
    Plug-in
    , a
    2080-MOT-HSC
     node is created.
  • The 2080-MOT-HSC configuration page contains the following nodes. Select a node to view and configure the corresponding settings.
    • Overview
      : Displays the device image, catalog number, revision, product type, and slot number. Selecting
      Device definition
       opens the
      Device definition
       dialog to change the slot and revision, and to configure whether to fault the controller when the plug-in module is absent.
    • Variable
      : Lists the added variables with their variable names and data types.
    • Configuration
      : Configures the settings on the 2080-MOT-HSC plug-in module configuration page.
    • Counter 0
      : Configures the settings on the Counter 0 configuration page.
    • Counter 1
      : Configures the settings on the Counter 1 configuration page.
