Configure a logging destination to accept PanelView Plus and MobileView messages

Use
Destination Setup
 to enable the computer's ability to receive messages broadcast from
PanelView Plus
 and
MobileView
 devices.
To configure a logging destination to accept
PanelView Plus
 and
MobileView
 messages
  1. In
    Diagnostics Configuration
    , select
    Destination Setup
    .
  2. Select
    Enable this computer to receive messages broadcast from
    PanelView Plus
     or
    MobileView
     to route messages generated from
    PanelView Plus
     or
    MobileView
     to the computer for logging.
    FactoryTalk Diagnostics
     routes
    PanelView Plus
     messages based on the standard "audience" and "severity" categories assigned to each message.
  3. (optional) Enter a value in the
    Port
     field if your devices are using custom port values. Typically, do not change the default port setting. The Port value on this computer and the Port value set in the
    PanelView Plus
     device's registry must match for the two computers to communicate.
  4. Select
    Message Routing
    • Select a logging destination that needs to accept messages from
      PanelView Plus
       or
      MobileView
      .
    • Select
      Accept message from
      PanelView Plus
       or
      MobileView
      .
      Repeat as needed for each logging destination.
  5. If editing other settings in Diagnostics Setup, select
    Apply
     to save the new destination message routing setup. When finished making changes in
    Diagnostics Configuration
    , select
    OK
     to close the window.
