- UnderODBC Data Source, next toData source name, type the path and file name of a system or file ODBC data source, or selectBrowse (...)to browse for an existing data source.If usingBrowse, theSelect Data Sourcedialog box displays which lists the file and system data sources available on the computer whereFactoryTalk Diagnosticsis running.Either:
- Select a file data source
- On theFile Data Sourcetab,next toLook in:, selectBrowse (...).
- InBrowse for Folderselect a folder in which to search for an ODBC File data source. Select any file data source that refers to an ODBC driver installed on the local computer and selectOK.
- Select a system data source
- On theSystem Data Sourcetab, select one of the files listed.
- SelectOKto return toODBC Database Destination Setup.TIP:Beginning withFactoryTalk Services Platformversion 6.30, theLog Onaccount ofservice has been changed to aFactoryTalk DiagnosticsLocal ReaderLocal Serviceaccount. Due to permission limitations, theLocal Serviceaccount may not have read access to theData Sourcefolder. Once you have selected a data source file and folder, and clickOK, a warning message may show, asking whether you want to grant theLocal Serviceaccount read permission for the selected folder. SelectYesto continue using the folder and grant read permission to theLocal Serviceaccount. SelectNoto choose another folder.
