Error messages that are not logged to the FactoryTalk Diagnostics event log
In this section:
The Activation field is blank
The system cannot find the file specified.
File or assembly name interop.FTOPCGATEWAYLib, or one of its dependencies, was not found.
The following error was encountered attaching to the service: Service
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
was not found on computer.
The service returned the following error: The service did not response to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
The service returned the following error: COM object with CLSID {3109D531-F9E7-4AA6-8D1C5BE480F1} is either not valid or not registered.
Bad quality data, missing data, or tags do not show when browsing the OPC client.
Cannot start
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
from
Windows
Start menu or
FactoryTalk Administration Console
menu bar.
Clicking Start Service on the
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
Configuration dialog box does not start service. Service remains stopped.
Clicking Stop Service on the FactoryTalk Linx Gateway Configuration dialog does not stop service.
Error message: "Network/App1/Area1: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."
Slow or unreliable communications
An OPC UA client cannot communicate to previously configured tag information due to a change with the
