Clicking Start Service on the FactoryTalk Linx Gateway Configuration dialog box does not start service. Service remains stopped.

Possible cause and solution:
  • The service is disabled from
    Windows
     Control Panel.
    Verify the service status using
    Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services
    . Start the service if it is disabled.
  • You do not have
    Windows
     administrative privileges.
    Obtain
    Windows
     administrative privileges to start and stop the service.
  • An incompatible version of
    FactoryTalk Services Platform
     is installed on the computer.
    Install a compatible version of
    FactoryTalk Services Platform
    .
