FactoryTalk Diagnostics Counter Monitor
provides the ability to check the status of tags and to monitor the runtime values of counters and strings that are made available by network clients for diagnostic purposes. Use the following steps to use FactoryTalk Diagnostics Counter Monitor
.Before you begin:
- FactoryTalk Linx,FactoryTalk Linx Gateway, or FactoryTalk Live Data (installed with FactoryTalk Services Platform) must be installed and running on one or more host computers on the network.
- The diagnostics client must have access to a workstation that has an application with diagnostic items associated with it. A client must be accessing those diagnostic items in order for them to be shown on FactoryTalk Diagnostics Counter Monitor.
To use Diagnostics Monitor:
- StartFactoryTalk Diagnostics Counter Monitor.
- Add a workstation.
- Expand the workstation to expose the installed data provider(s) (for example,FactoryTalk Linx Gateway,FactoryTalk Linx, or FactoryTalk Live Data).
- Click any diagnostic item in the tree. The diagnostics counters associated with the selected item are shown in the Data area of the mainFactoryTalk Diagnostics Counter Monitorwindow. While the item is selected,the counter values are updated every two seconds.
