Alarm and Event Summary Properties - Toolbar tab

at design time to open the
Alarm and Event Summary Properties
dialog box:
  1. Add an Alarm and Event Summary object to a display.
  2. Right-click on the Alarm and Event Summary object, and then click
    Properties
    .
Use the
Toolbar
tab in the
Alarm and Event Summary Properties
dialog box to change the buttons that appear on the toolbar in the Alarm and Event Summary at runtime. To save space in the Alarm and Event Summary, add only the toolbar buttons for features that operators frequently use.
If the Alarm and Event Summary is configured to not show a toolbar button, the equivalent operation on the shortcut menu is also hidden.
The following table describes the settings available.
Setting
Description
Add and remove buttons on the toolbar
The toolbar buttons at the top of the Alarm and Event Summary provide quick access to operations for operators. Add or remove the toolbar buttons as needed.
Reposition buttons
To move the button name up or down in the list, click a button name in the list, and then click the
Move Up
or
Move Down
buttons.
Change button captions
To change the caption for a button, select the button name in the list. In the
Caption
box type a caption for the button.
Display properties must be configured during design time. If the caption is not visible on the button, select a different format for the button in the
Format
list.
Change button tooltips
To change the tooltip for a button, select the button name in the list. In the
Tooltip
box type a tooltip for the button.
You can configure the tooltips as needed. Display properties must be configured during design time. To show tooltips, select the
Show button tooltips
check box on the
Appearance
tab.
Display images, captions, or both on toolbar buttons
To change how a button is displayed on the toolbar, select the button name in the list and then choose the format and filter to use.
