New User

How do I open New User?
  1. Log on to the
    FactoryTalk Directory
     where you want to add a user account.
  2. In the
    Explorer
     window, expand the network or local directory tree, and then expand the
    System
     folder >
    Users and Groups
    .
  3. Right-click the
    Users
     folder, point to
    New
     and click
    User.
To specify details about a new
FactoryTalk
 user account or temporary account, use
New User
. A single network directory or local directory cannot contain accounts whose names are identical to another user or group name in the same directory. User accounts in the local directory are separate from user accounts in the network directory. This allows adding a user account with the same name and password to both directories.
Use
General Properties
 to enter these settings:
  • User name
  • Full name
  • Login method
  • Password
  • Confirm
Other fields are optional.
To add the new
FactoryTalk
 user to a group, select
Group Membership
.
