Delete a computer group
Delete a computer group from the
FactoryTalk
network directory to no longer use that group account to manage the security settings for several computers. The computers in the group remain part of the FactoryTalk
system. Security for each computer is now managed at the individual computer account level. Prerequisites
Deleting an empty computer group account requires these permissions:
- Common > Delete
- Common > List Children
- Common > Read
Deleting a computer group account that has members requires these permissions:
- Common > Delete
- Common > List Children
- Common > Read
- Common > Write
To delete a computer group account
- InFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleExplorer, expandSystem>Computers and Groups>Computer Groups, right-click the computer group account, and selectDelete.
