How do I open New Application?
  • In
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    Explorer
    , right-click
    Network
     or
    Local
    , and then select
    New Application
    .
An application organizes project information and makes it available to all software products and computers participating in a
FactoryTalk
 system.
Enter this information to identify the new application.
Setting
Description
Name (required)
In the
Name
box, type a descriptive name to identify the application. Application names can contain alphanumeric characters, underscores, and spaces. However, names cannot start with an underscore ('_') or a space.
Description (optional)
In the
Description
box, enter text to describe the application to its users and provide support information. For example, explain its function, the equipment it operates, the last version installed and support contact information. This information does not appear anywhere else in the
FactoryTalk
 system.
