I do not see my imported resources
If you do not see imported resources listed in the
FactoryTalk Directory
when you open FactoryTalk Administration Console
or FactoryTalk View Studio
, you may need to:- refreshRSLinx Classic
- use theResource Editorinstead of theNetworks and Devicestree to edit security permissions forRSLogix 5000devices
To refresh
RSLinx Classic
- Go toRockwell Software >and runRSLinxRSLinx Classic.
- To refreshRSLinx Classic, selectRSWho.
- In theFactoryTalk Administration Console, right-clickNetworks and Devices, and then selectRefresh.
To edit security permissions for a
RSLogix 5000
device- InFactoryTalk Administration ConsoleorFactoryTalk View Studio, inExplorer, right-click any application or area and then selectResource Editor.
- If theFactoryTalk Directorydoes not contain any applications, at the top of the directory tree, right-clickNetworkorLocaland then selectNew Application. Type a name for the application, and then selectOK. Right-click the application and then selectResource Editor.
- InResources Editor, select theAdd Resourcesbutton.
- InSelect Resources for, expand theLogical Namesfolder.
- Right-click the name of the device and then selectSecurity.
- Edit the security settings for the logical name of the device and then selectOK.You do not have to add a logical name to an application or area for the security settings to take effect, unless you want the logical name to inherit its security settings from the application or area.
