I do not see my imported resources

If you do not see imported resources listed in the
FactoryTalk Directory
 when you open
FactoryTalk Administration Console
 or
FactoryTalk View Studio
, you may need to:
  • refresh
    RSLinx Classic
  • use the
    Resource Editor
     instead of the
    Networks and Devices
     tree to edit security permissions for
    RSLogix 5000
     devices
To refresh
RSLinx Classic
  1. Go to
    Rockwell Software >
    RSLinx
    and run
    RSLinx Classic
    .
  2. To refresh
    RSLinx Classic
    , select
    RSWho
    .
    RSWho
  3. In the
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    , right-click
    Networks and Devices
    , and then select
    Refresh
    .
To edit security permissions for a
RSLogix 5000
 device
  1. In
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
     or
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    , in
    Explorer
    , right-click any application or area and then select
    Resource Editor
    .
    • If the
      FactoryTalk Directory
       does not contain any applications, at the top of the directory tree, right-click
      Network
       or
      Local
       and then select
      New Application
      . Type a name for the application, and then select
      OK
      . Right-click the application and then select
      Resource Editor
      .
  2. In
    Resources Editor
    , select the
    Add Resources
     button.
  3. In
    Select Resources for
    , expand the
    Logical Names
     folder.
  4. Right-click the name of the device and then select
    Security
    .
  5. Edit the security settings for the logical name of the device and then select
    OK
    .
    You do not have to add a logical name to an application or area for the security settings to take effect, unless you want the logical name to inherit its security settings from the application or area.
