FBAxis - Limits tab
Use the
FBAxis<x> - Limits
configuration page to do the following actions:- Make the settings forLower soft limitandUpper soft limitavailable or not available for configuration.
- Set the value forLower soft limit.
- Set the value forUpper soft limit.
The
Soft Limits
settings correspond to data values that are managed by the controller and are based on the following items:- The user-defined stepper commands.
- The parameters that you specified on the FBAxis<x> - Motor and Load configuration page.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Lower soft limit | Makes the Lower soft limit value available for configuration or not. By default, the value is not configurable, and the motion engine reads the soft limit as infinite positive or negative. The value range is relative to the value specified for Pulses per revolution on the FBAxis<x> - Motor and Load configuration page. The default value for Pulses per revolution is 200.0, based on which the default range for the Lower soft limit value is from –2148695183 (–549739036672/200) through 2748695183 (549739036672/200). The value range is from –549739036672 through 549739036672 steps in single precision floating point format. The Lower soft limit value must be smaller than the Upper soft limit value. The default value is 0.0 mm (steps). For more information, see Convert pulse per revolution and velocity. |
Upper soft limit | Makes the Upper soft limit value available for configuration or not. The value is not configurable by default. The value range is relative to the value specified for Pulses per revolution on the FBAxis<x> - Motor and Load configuration page. The default value for Pulses per revolution is 200.0, based on which the default range for the value of Lower soft limit is from –2148695183 (–549739036672/200) through 2748695183 (549739036672/200).The value range is from –549739036672 through 549739036672 steps in single precision floating point format. The Upper soft limit value must be greater than the Lower soft limit value. The default value is 0.0 mm (steps). For more information, see Convert pulse per revolution and velocity. |
