Create a multistate indicator

The multistate indicator displays the current state of a process or operation by showing a different color, caption, or image to reflect different states.
You specify the state values of the multistate indicator. Then, at runtime, the object displays the state whose value matches the Indicator tag value at the data source.
You can enter a maximum of 2000 states, plus the Error state.
To create a multistate indicator:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    , in the
    Graphics
    editor, select
    Objects
    >
    Indicator
    >
    Multistate
, or click the multistate indicator icon in the toolbox.
  2. Drag the mouse to position and draw a rectangle the general size and location the indicator is to be.
  3. In the
    Multistate Indicator Properties
dialog box, specify how the indicator looks, set up its states, and assign an Indicator tag.
    TIP:
If the Indicator tag's value does not match any of the specified state values for the multistate indicator, the error state is displayed.
