How do I open the Error list?
On the graphic element or group of graphic elements outlined in red, tap the
or tab to the icon and press

Error list
contains a snapshot of the diagnostic messages associated with a graphic element or group of graphic elements in error. The Error list
is static. Closing and reopening the Error list
for a graphic element crosses out resolved errors. When a graphic element or group of graphic elements has errors, the graphic element or group appears outlined in red and has an Error
icon 
Errors occur for reasons including, but not limited to:
- A tag is missing.
- A tag is unavailable due to public/private Logix protection.
- A data type is incompatible with the type of graphic element.
- There is a faulted or missing controller.
- There is a disconnected controller.PanelView5000 detects a disconnect in communication within five seconds. Before five seconds expire, static data values may appear on a screen and repeating values may appear in a data log when the sample rate is less than five seconds. After five seconds, the data appears as bad quality. Updated data appears when reconnecting the controller.
- There is a broken cable or other network issue.
- Services that impact data delivery are hung or stopped.
- A state change event caused the error.
- An operation performed on an alarm failed. Refreshing errors for an alarm table is not supported. Perform the operation on the alarm table again. If the error occurs again, re-open theError list. Resolving errors that appear on a disabled alarm table button is not supported. Disabled buttons appear with diagonal hash marks across them. The HMI Designer can enable the button inStudio 5000View Designer.
- An event displays a diagnostic error. Manually removing errors when an error occurs due to a state change is not supported. Another state change event must remove the error.
