Log on
Logging on to an application displays all screens for the assigned security role. Log on to the application using the configured password or PIN. Passwords and PINs appear as asterisks (*). All available screens appear in the
Navigation menu
. To log on
- In theSystem Bannerat the top of the screen, selectLog on. TheLogondialog box opens.TIP:If configured, an event can open theLogondialog box. Contact the HMI Designer to identify events configured for the application.
- Log on using the configured method:
- User name and password (local).In theUser Namebox, use theVirtual Standard Keyboardthat opens to select the keys and enter the user name. Do not use spaces. In thePasswordbox, and select the keys to enter the case-sensitive password.
- PIN.In thePINbox, use theVirtual Numeric Keypadthat opens to select the keys to enter the personal identification number.
- User name and password (domain).See Log on using network-based security.
- SelectLog on. TheLogondialog box closes. The name of the logged on user appears in theSystem Banner.TIP:Tips:
- To log on as a different user, open theLogondialog box, enter a different user name and password or PIN, and then selectLog on.
- If the log on fails, theLogondialog displays the messageLog on unsuccessful for (name). TheLogondialog box remains open and the current user remains logged on.
