Change the FactoryTalk ViewPoint for Machine Edition inactivity timeout

Change the inactivity timeout to adjust how often a user must change displays or refresh a page. If the inactivity timeout is reached, the web browser's session expires.
Prerequisites
  • Ensure the operator terminal is running the
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint for Machine Edition
     application.
To change the
FactoryTalk ViewPoint for Machine Edition
 inactivity timeout
  1. Open a web browser to
    FactoryTalk ViewPoint Administration
     at the following URL, replacing
    computer_name_or_ip_address
     with the hostname or IP address of the
    PanelView Plus
     operator terminal:
    http://computer_name_or_ip_address/ftvp/admin
    If the site has an HTTPS binding, enter
    https
    instead of
    http
    .
  2. (optional) If web application security is enabled, enter your username and password, and then click
    OK
    .
  3. On the
    Server Settings
     tab, select the
    Enable
     checkbox and then in
    Inactivity Timeout
    , type a value for the number of minutes that a session can be inactive.
    A value of 0 disables the inactivity timeout. The default value is 20 minutes.
  4. Click
    Apply
     to save your changes.
