Set up DeskLock behavior

Use the check boxes in the
Behavior
tab to specify how DeskLock behaves when active.
To set up DeskLock behavior
  1. In the
    Ctrl+Alt+Del Window Options
frame, select or clear the boxes that disable buttons in the
    Windows Security
dialog box that appears when the key combination
    Ctrl+Alt+Del
is pressed. The buttons will still be visible, but will not be active.
  2. If you need to make other changes to Microsoft Windows Local Group Policy settings, open the Microsoft Management Console and make those changes.
  3. In the
    Hot Key settings
frame, select eor clear the boxes that disable the key combinations that function as a normal part of Windows. If any of these boxes are selected, you can also specify a time period of inactivity. If no keyboard or mouse activity is detected for the specified period, the key combinations whose boxes are selected will automatically be disabled.
    TIP:
DeskLock installation also provides two control buttons that can be placed on a FactoryTalk View SE graphic display: a
    DeskLock HotKeyDisable
button that can be used to disable the hot key combinations, and a SysRestart button that can shut down and restart the operating system.
    If the
    DeskLock setup
dialog box is opened, or if DeskLock exits, the hot key combinations will be enabled.
