Set up data log triggers

Use the
Log Triggers
 tab to set up how data logging is triggered. The default is
Periodic
logging every 10 seconds. This automatically logs the values of the tags in the data log model every 10 seconds.
To set up data log triggers:
  1. In the
    Data Log Model
     editor, click the
    Log Triggers
     tab.
  2. To to log tag values periodically, select
    Periodic
    .
  3. To only log tags whose values have changed, select
    On Change
    .
  4. To log tag values when the FactoryTalk View command
    DataLogSnapshot
     is issued, select
    On Demand
    .
    TIP:
    The data log model must be running before the
    DataLogSnapshot
     command is given.
    When you select
    On Demand
     logging, tags are logged when the
    DataLogOn
     and
    DataLogOff
     commands are issued, as well as when the
    DataLogSnapshot
     command is issued.
