ME Runtime 3.20 and earlier tab

The user accounts entered in the ME Runtime 3.20 and earlier tab will be used when creating applications for 3.20 and earlier runtime applications.
Use the ME Runtime 3.20 and earlier tab to enter user names and passwords for user accounts, and then assign security access to them for applications. The editor consists of a form area and a spreadsheet.

Options
  • Account ID
    Click
    Next
or click on a blank line in the spreadsheet to enter a new account in this box. Type a user name or ID for the account (20 characters maximum, including spaces). The following characters are invalid: /\;:|+*?<>. This box cannot be blank.
Changing a name in this box changes the account name in the spreadsheet. The
    Prev
    and
    Next
buttons change to Accept and Discard.
The name is not case sensitive when the user types it at runtime. However, FactoryTalk View uses all upper case for names in expressions.
You cannot modify the Account ID for a Windows domain user or group.
  • Login Macro
The login macro is optional. To run a macro each time this user logs in, type the macro name in this box or click the
    Browse
button (…) to select from a list of macros in the application.
    Logout Macro
The logout macro is optional. To run a macro each time this user logs out, type the macro name in this box or click the
    Browse
button (…) to select from a list of macros in the application.
If a new user logs in before the previous user has logged out, the logout macro of the previous user runs after the new user logs in.
  • Password
Type a password for the account (14 characters maximum, including spaces). Passwords are not case sensitive. In the Password Confirmation dialog, retype the password and then click OK.
You cannot assign or modify a password for a Windows domain account from FactoryTalk View. To change the password, use the Users and Passwords tool in Windows.
  • Security Codes
The default is for all the boxes to be checked (Y is displayed in all columns in the spreadsheet). To block access to a security code, clear the check boxes for the code in the form section, or double click in the code's spreadsheet columns to change Y to N (or N to Y).
