Change ME Runtime 3.20 and earlier passwords

If you are using security, assign users an Account ID and a password in the Runtime Security editor. If you are using accounts set up in the
Runtime Security
 editor, you can only change passwords using
FactoryTalk View Studio
.
TIP:
If you are using Windows users or groups, you can only change passwords through the
Control Panel
. You cannot change them in
FactoryTalk View Studio
.
Users cannot change their passwords and you cannot change the passwords at runtime.
To change a user's password
  1. In the
    Runtime Security
     editor's spreadsheet area, click the row for the user's account.
  2. In the form area, in the
    Password
    box, type the new password.
  3. In the
    Password Confirmation
     box, type the new password again, and then click
    OK
    .
