Reshape objects

To change the size of an object while maintaining its proportions
  1. Select the object.
  2. Grab a corner of the object.
  3. Hold down
    Shift
    and the left mouse button as you drag the handle.
  4. When the object is the desired size, release the left mouse button and then release
    Shift
    .
    TIP:
    To grab a handle, point the mouse cursor at it, and when the cursor changes to a double-ended arrow, hold down the left mouse button.
To create a perfect square or circle
  1. Select the rectangle or ellipse object.
  2. Grab a handle then press and hold
    Ctrl
    .
  3. Hold down
    Ctrl
    and the left mouse button as you drag the handle.
  4. When the object is the correct shape and size, release the mouse button and then release
    Ctrl
    .
To reshape an arc or wedge
  1. Select the object, right-click to display the context menu, then select
    Edit
    .
  2. Grab a handle and drag one way or the other until the arc or wedge is the desired shape.
  3. Click the
    Select
    tool to end editing.
    TIP:
    The overall shape is the same size but the proportion that is an arc or wedge is changed.
To reshape a polygon or polyline
  1. Right-click the object and select
    Edit
    .
  2. To create an angle along any line in the polygon or polyline, position the point on the line where you want the angle. A square is shown at this point.
    Drag the square to the tip of the angle.
  3. To delete a line segment, position the pointer at the tip of the angle, then click the
    Delete
    key. The pointer becomes a cross hair when it is centered on an angle.
