Edit fine details with the keyboard

You can use the keyboard to obtain more precise control than the mouse gives you when editing the fine details of a graphic display. The keyboard can be used for reshaping, resizing, repositioning, and drawing objects.
To reposition an object
  1. Use the
    Up,
    Down
    ,
    Right,
    and
    Left Arrow
    keys to move the Select cursor (single arrow) over the object.
  2. Press and hold the
    Shift
    key. This is equivalent to holding down the left mouse button.
  3. Use the
    Arrow
    keys to move the object to its new position, then release the
    Shift
    key.
To resize or reshape an object
  1. Move the Select cursor over the object.
  2. Press and release the
    Shift
    key. This selects the object and displays its handles.
  3. Move the Select cursor to a handle using the Arrow keys. When the cursor is over a handle, the handle will become a double arrow.
  4. Press and hold the
    Shift
    key.
  5. Use the
    Arrow
    keys to drag the handle until the object is the way you want it.
To draw an object using the keyboard
  1. Press
    Alt-O
    to open the
    Objects
    menu.
  2. Use the
    Arrow
    keys to move to the object you want, then press
    Enter
    to select it.
  3. Use the
    Arrow
    keys to move the tool cursor to the place in the display where you want to start drawing the object.
  4. Press and hold
    Shift
    .
  5. Use the
    Arrow
    keys to drag the tool until the object is the size and shape you want.
    TIP:
    Use the plus (+) and minus (-) keys to increase or decrease the amount moved by the
    Arrow
    keys, per key press.
    To stop drawing, press
    Alt-O
    to open the
    Objects
    menu, then choose the Select tool.
