Options on the States tab of the Display List Selector Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
States
tab of the
Display List Selector Properties
dialog box.

Select state
Click the state for which to set up properties.
Display Settings
Display
Specify the display to open when the operator highlights this state and presses
Enter
. To select from a list of the graphic displays in the project, click the
Browse
button (…).
Parameter file
Select this option if the display's runtime parameter values will be provided by a parameter file.
Click the
Browse
button (...) to open the
Component Browser
and select the parameter file to run when the operator highlights this state and presses
Enter
. The list contains all of the parameter files in the project.
A parameter file assigns tags to tag placeholders in the display when the display opens.
Parameter list
Select this option if the display's runtime parameter values will be provided by a parameter list. Click the
Browse
button to open the Tag Browser and select the tag or tags to add to the list.
Display position
Check this box to use the Top position and Left position for the display. These properties apply only to On Top displays (with or without the
Cannot Be Replaced
option).
Top position
Type the number of pixels from the top of the screen to position the display.
Left position
Type the number of pixels from the left edge of the screen to position the display.
Caption
Enter the text for the state. The text appears on the face of the object, to give the operator information about the current state.
Use display name
Check this box to use the name of the display as the caption for this state. This caption appears in the display list at runtime.
Insert Variable
Click this button to select the type of variable to be inserted.
Caption color
This box shows the current text color for the caption when the state is not selected. Click it to select another color.
Caption back color
This box shows the current background color for the caption when the state is not selected. Click it to select another color.
If the caption background style is transparent, the application does not use this caption background color.
Caption blink
Select this check box if you want the caption to blink at runtime. The caption blinks twice per second.
Alignment
Specifies how the caption is positioned on the object. If the object shape is circle or ellipse, the position is relative to the object's bounding box.
