Change the default language for an application

When an application is opened in
FactoryTalk View Studio
, you can change the default language.
To change the default language for an application
  1. In the
    Language Configuration
dialog box, select the language that you want to set as the default language.
  2. Click the
    Set As Default
    button.
The check mark is shown beside the language you selected.
TIP:
If you change the default language, and if you are filtering the trigger labels for alarm objects, you will have to manually re-specify the trigger labels for every object that filters alarms.
When you save an application's components at design time, the text strings associated with them, such as captions, local messages, and alike, are saved in the application's current language.
