Activate the grid for a display

The grid can be active or inactive. When the grid is active, most of the objects you draw or position are pulled into alignment with the closest grid point. Some objects, such as the freehand object, snap to their own grid.
Deactivate the grid to draw or position an element between the grid lines. Activate the grid to automatically align the next object you draw or place. Existing objects are not aligned when the grid is activated unless they are moved.
