Create a new component

Some editors, such as the
Graphics Display
,
Macros
, and
Parameters
 editors, can create multiple components (or files). If an editor can create multiple components, its context menu includes
New
and
Add Component into Project
. Editors that cannot create more than one component only have
Open
on their context menus.
To create a new component, use one of the following methods:
  • Drag the component icon into the workspace.
  • Right-click the editor and select
    New
    .
  • From the
    File
     menu, select
    New
    , and then select the type of component to create.
TIP:
To copy an existing component
  1. In the Explorer window, select the editor that will use the component.
  2. Right-click the editor and select
    Add Component into Project
    .
  3. In the
    Browser
     window, navigate to the location of the component you want to copy.
  4. Select the component and click
    Open
    .
