Logix Designer equipment phases in the area model

To add a machine to an existing
FactoryTalk Batch
control system, create equipment phases for the machine in
Logix Designer
, and develop phase logic within those equipment phases. Test and validate the new machine before incorporating it into the
FactoryTalk Batch
system. Synchronize the invalidInvalid-safety-tag-connection.Invalid-standard-tag-connection..d project file with the area model to create corresponding phases in the
FactoryTalk Batch
area model.
After creating phases in the
FactoryTalk Batch
area model, integrate the new machine into the plant, bring the
Logix5000
controller online with the updated
Logix Designer
project, and perform a warm restart of the
FactoryTalk Batch
Server to include the phases in the
FactoryTalk Batch
control system.
IMPORTANT:
Starting in FactoryTalk Batch 15.00, the Controller Program Name property of a phase in the area model is used to link the area model phase wit a specific Equipment Phase program in a Logix Designer project. When the Logix Designer project and the area model are synchronized the Controller Program Name determines which Equipment Phase in the Logix Designer project is used for comparison and synchronization. An area model phase and Logix Equipment Phase are considered to be the same (synchronized) when the following items match:
Logix Equipment Phase
Batch Area Model
Equipment Phase Name
Controller Program Name
Input Tag Name
Parameter Tag Name
Input Tag Type
Parameter Tag Type
Output Tag Name
Report Tag Name
Output Tag Type
Report Tag Type
This section describes how to synchronize the
FactoryTalk Batch
area model with the
Logix Designer
project file when equipment phases are created in
Logix Designer
and corresponding phases need to be created in
FactoryTalk Batch Equipment Editor
.
