Items in Condition - Logged Time dialog box

Items in the dialog box:
  • Absolute Date/Time
Enter or select the date and time so that the search will return activities that occurred at the specified time according to the server computer’s time settings.
You can use this option to search an activity that you know occurred on the exact day.
  • Relative to date/time report is run
Enter or select the date and time so that the search will return activities that occurred at the specified time according to the client computer’s time settings.
You can use this option to search an activity that you know occurred within the last week but you do not know the exact day.
For Example, the client computer's date is December 3, 2020. If you select this date/time type and specify
    Date/Time selection options
as two days ago, the relative date will be defined as December 1, 2020 and then the search will be run based on this date.
  • Ignore time
Select this box to include only date (and not time) criteria in the search. Clear this box to show results with an Absolute time (for example, 2:52 to include all entries between 2:52:00 and 2:52:59) or a Relative time (for example, 1 hour ago to include all entries between 1:00:00 and 1:59:59).
Be aware that if you do not clear this box but select
    Equal To
(below), shown results will be to the nearest minute for an Absolute time, or to the nearest hour for a Relative time.
  • Date/time selection options
    • Equal To
Enter or select the date and time (or days and hours ago) for which you want to search.
For Example, the computer's date is December 3, 2020. If you select
Relative to date/time report is run
and specify two days ago for this option, the search will return activities occurred on December 1, 2020.
    • Between
Enter or select the start and end time for which you want to search. Between specifies a period including the start and end time.
For example, the computer's date is December 3, 2020. If you select
Relative to date/time report is run
and specify two days ago in the upper date box and one day ago in the lower date box, the search will be run to return activities occurred between December 1, 2020 and December 2, 2020.
    • Before
Enter or select the date prior to which the activities happened. The search will return activities that occurred prior to the specified time, not including activities that occurred at the specified time.
For example, the client computer's date is December 3, 2020. If you select
Relative to date/time report is run
and specify two days ago for this option, the search will return activities that occurred prior to December 1, 2020, not including activities that occurred on December 1, 2020. Thus, to include activities that occurred on December 1, 2020, specify one day ago for this option, or use the
      Equal To
option to specify that exact date.
    • After
Enter or select the date later than which the activities happened. The search will return activities that occurred later than the specified time, not including activities that occurred at the specified time.
For example, the client computer's date is December 3, 2020. If you select
Relative to date/time report is run
and specify two days ago for this option, the search will return activities that occurred later than December 1, 2020, not including activities that occurred on December 1, 2020. Thus, to include activities that occurred on December 1, 2020, specify three days ago for this option, or use the
      Equal To
option to specify that exact date.
