Run searches immediately

Run a scheduled or unscheduled search immediately.
Prerequisites
  • To run a search, you must be granted the
    View a Search
     and
    Execute
    permissions.
  • To run a search immediately, you must be granted the appropriate permission for the type of search you are going to run -
    View Audit Log
    ,
    View Event Log
    , or
    View Diagnostics & Health Log
     permission.
To run searches immediately
  1. Select
    View > Searches,
     or click the
    Searches
     button.
  2. Select the search row.
  3. Click the
    Run Now
     button.
    TIP:
    You can also right-click the search row and select
    Run Now
    . The results of scheduled and unscheduled searches will open in your default browser.
    For manually executed searches, the results display matched records up to a maximum of 10,000 rows. If the number of matching records exceeds this limit, we recommend scheduling a search instead. Scheduled searches are not subject to the 10,000-row limit.
