Specify the version of the Backup Data binder or file

The
Name Archive Entry
 dialog box shows a list of versions of the Backup Data binder or file.
To specify the version of the Backup Data binder or file that you want to use
  1. Select one of the following to narrow down the list of versions:
    • Filter by label
      : Shows only labeled versions. If no versions have been labeled, the list is empty.
    • Filter by version
      : Shows all versions.
    • Latest version
      : Uses the most recent version.
      Rather than filter the list, this option sets the schedule to always use the most recent version of the binder or file. This is different than selecting the most recent version from the list using the
      Filter by version
       option. For example, suppose you had previously selected to use version 3 of the binder. Later you decide that, as new versions of the binder are created, you always want to use the most recent version. You cannot simply select the highest version number using
      Filter by version
       because you would have to change it each time a new version of the file is created. Instead, select the
      Latest version
       option.
  2. Click the version you want to use, and click
    OK
    . The
    Backup Compare Partner
     field is filled in with the selected version.
If you later change the Backup Data binder or file assigned to this asset using the asset's properties, the existing schedule will use the latest version of the new binder or file until you use this dialog box to specify a version. The
Backup Compare Partner
 field in the schedule properties will show
