Items in Compare Configuration dialog box or File Configuration dialog box

Items in the dialog box include:
  • Files
Specify files and file types to compare.
    • If a custom compare engine is selected as the compare type, enter the file name or its full path if it's located in a subfolder.
    • If
      Checksum
or WinMerge compare application is selected as the compare type:
      • Use wildcard to enter file types (like
        *.txt
for all files ending in .txt), all files (
        *.*
), or a specific file in the root folder (like
        abc.txt
        ).
      • Specify subfolder with wildcard to enter file types (like
        subfolder\*.txt
for all files ending in .txt in the subfolder), all files in the subfolder (like
        subfolder\*.*
), or a specific file in the subfolder (like
        subfolder\abc.txt
        ).
When configuring for a Custom Device, the
        Checksum
compare type doesn't support the specification of subfolders. Use wildcard to enter file types (like
        *.txt
for all files ending in .txt) or all files (
        *.*
        ).
  • Compare Type
Select one of the compare tool following compare types:
    • Custom Compare Utility (Only available for Custom Devices)
    • Checksum

  • Add
Click to add a file or file type to the list. You can specify specific file names (like diocfgsv.io), file types (like *.txt for all files ending in .txt) or all files (*.*). Enter one file name or file type at a time. That is, click
    Add
for each file name or type you wish to add.
  • Remove
Select the file name or type that you want to remove from the list and click
    Remove
    .
At least one file name or type must always be in the list. The
    Remove
button is unavailable if only one item is in the list. If you want to remove the only item in the list, first add a new item to the list. Then you can remove the unwanted item.
