Properties in Container Properties dialog box

Properties in the Container Properties dialog box include:
  • Name
    The name of the container as it appears in the asset tree. The name for the container should be unique and meaningful.
    Container names can be a maximum of 260 characters. The characters
    \ / : * ? " < > |
     are not allowed. The character pair &# is not allowed. A space, tab, underscore (_) or dollar sign ($) cannot be the first character in a name, but can be used elsewhere in the name. The following Microsoft Windows device names cannot be used in asset names, whether upper or lower case, with or without the colon: CON:, PRN:, AUX:, NUL:, COM1:, COM2:, COM3:, COM4:, COM5:, COM6:, COM7:, COM8:, COM9:, LPT1:, LPT2:, LPT3:, LPT4:, LPT5:, LPT6:, LPT7:, LPT8:, and LPT9. For example,
    Auxiliary Line
     would be a valid name whereas
    Aux Line
     would not.
  • Description
    (Optional) The description will be displayed in the
    Archive
    tab when the container is selected.
  • Agent Group
    Click in this field and then click browse_button_small to select an Agent Group for the asset.
