Disaster Recovery support for Siemens controllers programmed with Siemens TIA Portal software
Beginning with FactoryTalk AssetCentre v13.00.00, the system can perform disaster recovery tasks, including backup and backup and compare, for Siemens controllers programmed using Siemens TIA Portal programming software. Controller communication is compatible with the following protocols: PN/IE (Ethernet), Profibus, or Multi-Point Interface (MPI).
The following table shows the minimum controller firmware supported and Siemens TIA Portal version for both standard and certificate-protected secure communication between the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Agent computer, performing disaster recovery, and the Siemens controller.
