The following table describes the items in the
Configure Server Settings Utility
window.Items | Descriptions |

Server Location | Specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the FactoryTalk AssetCentre
server computer or IP address where the FactoryTalk AssetCentre server is
located. |
Use the secure communication channel | Turns on TLS encryption to secure the network between the FactoryTalk AssetCentre components. |
IIS Server communication port | Specifies the IIS Server communication port for HTTPS request. The port number is
set as 443 by default. If the HTTPS port was previously configured using
FactoryTalk Services Platform, such as port 4356, then the existing HTTPS port
setting is retained. For more information, see Configure the IIS Server communication port for HTTPS. |
Base IP Port | Specifies the base IP ports that are used for server services. Ports 7002 and
7004 are open by default. |
Use the forward proxy | Configures a proxy that acts as an intermediary between the FactoryTalk
AssetCentre requests and the Product Compatibility and Download Center (PCDC). For
more information, see Configure the proxy for Assets Lifecycle. |
System "From" Email Address | Sets the optional sender's email address.
To configure main SMTP policy settings for FactoryTalk AssetCentre, such as SMTP
server address or port, go to FactoryTalk Administration Console >
System > Policies > System Policies > SMTP Policy .
