Configure search properties

Use the
Search properties
page to do the following:
  • View the detailed information of searches, such as the information of data sources or frequency, how many rows are displayed in search results, or how the search results are generated.
  • Edit specific properties of searches, such as changing search frequency, setting the style or orientation for the search results, or modifying email-related settings.
Prerequisites
  • To configure search properties, make sure that you have these permissions:
    • View a Search
    • Write
  • To modify a scheduled search, make sure that you also have the
    Edit a schedule
    permission.
To configure search properties
  1. On
    Searches
    , select
    Search overview
    or
    Detailed settings
    .
  2. Select a search, and then select .
    • View or edit basic search information and frequency of a scheduled search. For a scheduled search, make sure that the selected search schedule is inactive. For more information, see Create a search.
    • View or edit the following options of the
      Display Layout
      section.
      • Display all rows
        In the search results, show all records of the data source that meet the search criteria.
      • Display only the first (number) rows
        In the search results, limit the matching records shown up to the number indicated.
      • Tabular style
        Tabular style arranges each record with column-style headings.
      • Card style
        Card style arranges each record with row-style headings.
      • Portrait
        The search report is shown in portrait orientation.
      • Landscape
        The search report is shown in landscape orientation.
    • View or edit the following options of the
      Scheduled Search Operation
      section.
      • Email notification
        Configure if the email notifications should be sent.
      • Email distribution list
        Browse to show contacts in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre Address Book, and then modify the list of recipients to receive the scheduled search results via email.
      • Time zone
        Select the time zone in which to show dates in the search results. By default, this is set to the local time of the computer running the search. This is useful when people viewing the results are in another time zone from the computer running the search.
      • Output format
        Select if the scheduled search results are generated in the PDF or CSV format.
  3. After making any changes, select
    Save
    .
